Assist with the lighting and sound technical set-up prior to the show under the direction of staff/lead volunteer.

May include running and patching of electrical cables and ferrying equipment between venues.

A willingness to learn, take direction, and work efficiently is paramount. Some technical experience is helpful, but not required.

THE SET-UP TEAM BEGINS AT 9:00 AM

The Setup Team is responsible for:

Setting up the tables, tents, and chairs for guest/patron use throughout the outdoor Event Green. Hanging and staging decorative and directional signage on fences, tents, tables, and chairs.  Complete the cleaning/sanitization of tables and chairs as needed.

 Closed-toed shoes are required.

This volunteer acts as the host for Woodstock Arts with visiting artists.

Duties for this role include:

Ensuring that the green room space is clean and organized.
Staging/preparing the food and beverage items requested by the visiting artist.
This may include completing catering orders and checking that the order is fulfilled correctly upon pick-up or delivery.
Maintaining the cleanliness of the green room space and cleaning up the Green Room space after the intermission break.
Organizing any remaining food items so that artists may take them with them after the show.
Escort artist to Event Green when requested.
Act as the intermediary between artist and staff for any request or questions.
This role will include some light cleaning and food handling. Great guest services and a professional attitude are requested.

This role is perfect for a visually creative type! This role operates the light board to create a unique visual experience that will accompany the music of the artist.

Training of board functions will be provided. 

 

Check-in Visionaries give our guests a warm welcome and check them into the event via the provided list. Once tickets and seating are confirmed, you will provide the guests with their seating assignments and wristbands and instruct them on how to proceed through the remaining check-in and security process.   Additionally, check-in team members are ambassadors for the event, providing any special information and answering any questions that guests or interested passersby may have.   This role requires: Great customer service attitude. Communication and critical thinking skills. Beginner-friendly position. On-site training provided. 

 

Ensure all entering patrons have a wristband. Visionaries will scan bags/totes/coolers for unauthorized items (alcohol). Will inform the guest of alcohol policy in the event that an item must be withheld. 

Will also be asked to monitor the event entry points during the event to ensure only paid patrons are entering.

This position requires interacting with the public and managing potentially confrontational situations with the support of staff. 

On-site training provided. Beginner-friendly!

Ushers greet and assist guests/patrons in locating their assigned seating.

You may also be asked to assist those with disabilities with their seating. Help ensure that all patrons are wearing their wristbands and inform them of any instructions for the event. 

This Role Requires:

Great customer service attitude. Standing/Walking/Moving in a repetitive sequence for the entirety of the shift across a grassy terrain.

 

Lantern Series Bartenders are tasked with the serving and/or preparation of drink orders, including beer and wine.
Our event has 2 bar areas. Bartender duties vary per area as follows.

Walk-up Gold Bar (2): Take and fulfill patron orders placed at the bar and complete transactions via a handheld point of sale device. At the end of the event, prepare inventory for storage and assist in the clean-up of the bar area.

Table Service VIP Bar (2): Prepare drink orders per server tickets and arrange for pick-up and delivery by runners and servers. At the end of the event, prepare inventory for storage and assist in the clean-up of the bar area.

 

The bartender role requires:

Comfortability with selling and handling alcohol. 18+ years of age required. Ability to gain knowledge of the concession inventory. A beverage guide will be provided. Cash handling and payment processing are required.

 

Onsite training provided.

 

Assist servers and bartenders by taking completed food and drink orders to their assigned tables.

At the end of the event, participate in the clean-up of the bar area and remove table toppers/signage from patron tables.

This Role Requires: 

Comfortability with serving alcoholic beverages. Age 18+ only. Great customer Service attitude. Standing/Walking/Moving in a repetitive motion over grassy terrain.

Onsite training provided. Beginner-friendly!
